I am researching the family of my great, great grandmother, MarthaHENDRICKS, b. 1823 in Indiana who reported on the 1880 census that herfather was born in Maryland and her mother in Pennsylvania. She marriedWilliam DAVES, b. 1816 in Ohio who reported that his father was born inNorth Carolina and his mother in New Jersey. Martha and William hadthirteen children and lived most of their lives in Illinois (first in JoDaviess County and later in Warren (1880 census in Kelly Twp.) and, after death of William in 1887 in Warren Co., Martha moved to HendersonTwp., Knox County where she died in 1903. There were a number of theDAVES family who lived in Warren and Knox Counties up until the 1920census. Martha's obit states she was member of "Latter Day Saints" butit is not clear if this was main branch or the Reorganized Church.Tom Cadelltomcadle@wco.com120 Muir CourtPetaluma, CA 94954
