Susan SMITH born 17 Dec 1843 Newton NJ to John SMITH and ElizaSIMPSON, died 28 Nov 1908 Rio IL. Children are Lucy Inez born 6 May1873, Isaac Smith born 27 Dec 1874, John Emory born 21 Jul 1877, SarahAnn born 19 Jan 1880 Warren Co IL, Nancy Iliff born 18 May1882 marriedAlfred MATSON 19 Jan 1901. Lived in Alexis IL 1880. I think Susan mayhave died there at the home of one of her children.

I am looking for the parents of John Ecles MURPHY. John was born 16 Oct1806 in Warren County KY d. 7 May 1976 in Monmouth OR. He marriedFrancis Wright DOUGHTY 22 Mar 1827 in Warren County KY. He moved hisfamily to Monmouth, Warren, IL c.1830. John and Francis came to Oregonon the 1852 Murphy Wagon Train. He is considered to be one of thefounding fathers of Western Oregon University and the first minister ofMonmouth's Christian Church. John and Francis were the parents of 5boys and 7 girls.
